ILLINOIS LOTTERY & EDUCATION |
| Jodie Winnett
Acting Superintendent, Illinois State Lottery
Dear Friends:
We all love a good book at the Illinois Lottery. Books have the power to open doors to other worlds and spark creativity.
That’s why through our annual volunteerism program RAISE A HAND ILLINOIS, we’re continuing our mission of empowering schools by building book fairs in public schools across the state.
Help us kick-off our 2011 program by volunteering your time this Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday at the Extreme RAISE A HAND ILLINOIS Library Makeover. Raise a hand for education with the Illinois Lottery by restoring a school library in need.
Illinois Lottery is excited about continuing to service local public schools through volunteerism and our contribution of more than $15 billion to the state Common School Fund, which assists K-12 public schools.
We thank past, present and future volunteers of RAISE A HAND ILLINOIS for all of their hard work in improving education in Illinois public schools. We’re counting on the community to help this program be a continued success.
Sincerely,

The Illinois Lottery is proud to have contributed more than $15 billion to the state Common School Fund to assist K-12 public schools. Last year alone the Illinois Lottery raised over $625 million for Illinois public schools. Click here to see where your dollar goes within the Illinois Lottery.
