And after 16 seasons, 7 All-Star appearances, 3 championships and two Olympic gold medals, WNBA superstar Candace Parker announced her retirement last Sunday. The Naperville native who took the Chicago Sky to its first championship said in an Instagram post, “Dear Summer, I know you’re gonna miss me.” She added, “I promised I’d never cheat the game and that I’d leave it in a better place than I came into it.” And that you did ma’am!
